One Above is using the upcoming Diwali travel season to introduce a new Hong Kong product for India’s travel trade, joining hands with Hong Kong Disneyland for an exclusive offering available through DMC Bazaar.
The initiative comes against a backdrop of stronger festive-season outbound travel from India. DMC Bazaar has reported more than double the number of festive bookings compared with the previous year, while Hong Kong is seeing increasing demand from Indian families looking for short-haul international holidays.
A Different Take on the Diwali Holiday
The new product is built around combining two distinct seasonal experiences. Travellers visiting Hong Kong during Diwali can experience the Halloween-themed celebrations at Hong Kong Disneyland alongside a specially curated Diwali fireworks experience.
For the Indian market, the concept adds a festive element to a Hong Kong holiday while retaining the entertainment and family appeal associated with Disneyland.
The offering is not limited to a particular traveller segment. One Above says it has been designed to work for family holidays, couples, FIT bookings and groups, giving travel agents flexibility in packaging the experience for different customers.
B2B Product Designed for Easy Selling
Beyond the Disneyland experience itself, One Above is positioning the partnership as a ready-to-use product for travel professionals.
The company is providing trade-specific rates, pre-designed itineraries and destination support in Hong Kong throughout the customer’s journey. DMC Bazaar will provide travel partners with access to the product through its B2B platform.
This approach is intended to simplify the process for agents looking to offer an experience-led Hong Kong holiday during the busy Diwali period.
Hong Kong Gains Momentum for Festive Travel
The partnership reflects the changing nature of festive outbound travel, with travellers increasingly looking for experiences rather than conventional sightseeing programmes.
Irshad Dadan, Founder & CEO of One Above, said the company has seen experiential festive travel demand increase by around two times year-on-year. He said the Hong Kong Disneyland partnership was developed in response to requests from trade partners for family-oriented products with a stronger experiential element.
Varun Sarda of DMC Bazaar said Hong Kong has been performing strongly during the festive season on the platform. He also pointed to growing partner interest in curated packages that offer a distinct story or experience instead of relying solely on traditional itineraries.
Exclusive Availability for Travel Partners
The Hong Kong Disneyland programme is being offered exclusively through DMC Bazaar, One Above’s B2B platform for the travel trade.
Bookings are set to open shortly. With the Disneyland collaboration having limited capacity, trade partners are being encouraged to plan bookings around the Diwali period in advance.
