Travellers from Chennai can now book an international holiday covering Vietnam and Cambodia through a new package announced by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The “Wonders of Vietnam & Cambodia” tour is an eight-day itinerary covering major attractions across both countries.
The tour is scheduled to operate from November 17 to November 25, 2026, with the lowest package price starting at ₹1,51,250 per person for triple occupancy.
Chennai has now been added as the second departure point for this Vietnam-Cambodia itinerary after Bengaluru. The package is designed to cover sightseeing, accommodation, transportation and other travel requirements as part of a single itinerary.
According to IRCTC, the package includes international airfare, hotel accommodation, road transportation, meals, bus services, tour escort or guide services, visa charges and travel insurance.
From Chennai To Vietnam And Cambodia
The journey begins with a flight from Chennai to Da Nang, with a connection through Singapore. During the Vietnam leg, travellers will visit Da Nang, Hoi An, Hanoi and Ha Long Bay before flying onward to Cambodia.
The Cambodia portion of the trip focuses on Siem Reap, with the itinerary also covering the region’s major attractions.

Da Nang, Hoi An And Hanoi On The Itinerary
After arriving in Da Nang, the tour takes travellers around several of the city’s well-known attractions, including Marble Mountains, My Khe Beach, Dragon Bridge and the Han River waterfront.
Another day is dedicated to Ba Na Hills, where the itinerary includes the Golden Bridge and French Village. Travellers will also spend time in Hoi An Ancient Town, known for its historic streets, lantern-filled lanes and riverside setting.
The group will subsequently fly to Hanoi, where the sightseeing programme features the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Old Quarter.
Cruise Through Ha Long Bay
One of the major highlights of the Vietnam itinerary is a visit to Ha Long Bay.
Travellers will board a cruise to explore the bay’s limestone formations and caves. The programme also offers activities such as kayaking and bamboo boating.
Following the cruise, the group will travel back to Hanoi by coach before continuing with the scheduled sightseeing and overnight stay.
Tour Moves To Cambodia
The international itinerary continues on the sixth day, when passengers fly from Hanoi to Siem Reap.
Travellers will spend the final portion of the trip exploring Siem Reap before checking out of the hotel on the eighth day and heading to Siem Reap Airport for the journey back to Chennai.
How Much Does The IRCTC Package Cost?
IRCTC has different rates depending on the occupancy and accommodation arrangement:
- Single occupancy: ₹1,75,200
- Double occupancy: ₹1,53,750
- Triple occupancy: ₹1,51,250
- Child with bed, 5–11 years: ₹1,31,500
- Child without bed, 2–11 years: ₹1,15,600
The package price includes 2% TCS. However, infant airfare is excluded and has to be paid directly to the airline.
Passengers booking the tour will also have to submit their PAN details along with the required TCS declaration form.
IRCTC has noted that the flight timings mentioned in the itinerary are subject to operational changes by the airlines. The corporation has also stated that it will not offer refunds for airline delays, cancellations or schedule changes that subsequently affect accommodation, sightseeing or other services included in the package.
